Betting Odds On Managers To Get Sacked This Premier League Season

Jose Mourinho - 7/1

The Portuguese manager would most likely be shown the door this season, as is currently one of the front-runners to win the managerial sack race. Manchester United currently sit at the middle of the Premier League table, and after having a mediocre start, are expected to stay there. Most fans of the sport are sure that United won’t make it to the top of the table this time. The last time Mourinho won an EPL title was four years ago, back when he was Chelsea’s head coach. He has been criticized for his heavy defense style of play and has recently come under fire for walking out of a press conference before bragging about his previous titles. If he doesn’t turn things around soon, Mourinho might not make it till December, and will most likely be replaced by Zinedine Zidane, according to bookmakers.

Claude Puel - 6/1

The Leicester City manager was highly speculated to be dismissed last season, after finishing 9th, despite conceding quite a few losses. So it isn’t s surprise that he made it to the list this time as well. He definitely isn’t a favorite by a long shot. His team has had a slightly unpredictable and inconsistent form this season. With big names like Thierry Henry, Kasper Schmeichel, and Roberto Martinez lined up to replace him, The Fox’s next few games will be vital in determining the Frenchman’s future with the club.

Manuel Pellegrini - 9/1

Manuel Pellegrini and West Ham United seem to be struggling this season, despite the massive amount that went into acquiring new players. They’ve had a horrible start, losing all their first matches, putting them at the bottom of the table. As of now, he doesn’t seem to gell well with the team. Unable to live up to expectations, Pellegrini’s days could be numbered, after only joining the club this summer.

Javi Gracia - 11/1

Watford has quite the reputation of sacking managers, and Javi Garcia might be the next to go. They were initially quite a popular pick for relegations, but as a pleasant surprise, they had an immensely successful opening, winning their first four games, but the league has only just begun, and keeping up this current form may decrease his odds at a dismissal.

Neil Warnock - 11/1

Cardiff City surprised everybody by making it into the Premier League, which is an achievement in itself, and are currently one of the top choices to get relegated. Warnock missed out on his target transfers this season, and his team currently aren’t strong enough to make it far.
